Introduce your baby to the water in a safe and fun way! Our child-centred program is the first of its kind in Canada, designed to introduce little swimmers to submersion, breath control, kicking on both the front and back and underwater swimming.
Join your child in our warm, salt-water pool as they discover the joys of swimming. We encourage you to start your baby as early as four months old to develop comfort in and around the pool.
Children graduate into our Swim 101 program at the age of 3.
Our Swim 101 classes lay the groundwork for your child to swim on their own. Important skills they will learn include self-submersion and breath control, front and back kicks, and freestyle swimming with their face in the water.
We have our Swim 101 students under the age of 6 use a Power Swimr to foster confidence in the water: a child who is afraid isn’t in the right mindset to learn! This tool adapts to your child’s skill level through the removal of foam layers to provide just the right amount of support they need to take those leaps of faith.
Children graduate into Swim Strokes 201 when they can swim 15m breathing as needed without a floatation device.
Watch the Video!Swim Strokes 201 takes your child from beginner paddler to technical swimmer. This program teaches your child basic flutter kick, full with arm movement backstroke and freestyle (front crawl) with side breathing. Students learn fundamental techniques that will enable them to do competitive or distance swimming in future.
Children graduate to Advanced Swim Strokes 301 when they are able to swim 20m freestyle with side breathing and 20m backstroke.
Watch the Video!Advanced Swim Strokes 301 teaches your child proper techniques for breaststroke and butterfly. Through precision instruction and specialized drills, students gain the muscle memory needed to master these advanced strokes. We also work on refining freestyle and backstroke. Your child will learn the breathing, confidence and strength required for competitive swimming or lifeguard training.
Children stay in this program until they are able to swim an 80m individual medley consisting of 20m of each stroke: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.
Watch the Video! Our Power Swim I focuses on the technique for front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke arms with flutter kick, and dolphin kick with proper breathing. In each session, students will swim around 800 to 1000 meters. During the first classes, most of the drills will focus on improving swimmers’ stroke technique; endurance training will be added to each class while considering the progression principle. Completion of this level will allow students to move on to Power Swim II.
Watch the Video!Power swim II continues on improving our swimmers technical skills, and performing complex strokes such as butterfly. Endurance training becomes our main focus at this level, while we spice it up with speed swimming. Diving from a diving board is another skill we work on during our Powerswim II, and for the swimmers who love back crawl, we also teach backstroke starts. Breakdowns for breaststroke and butterfly will help swimmers to be more efficient in swimming, and help them get ready to join competitive teams.
