5 Swim Skills That Make Up Front Crawl

Sometimes swimming can feel like an overwhelming thing to learn as it may look complicated. You may look at other swimmers and think, “Wow, I have no idea how to look THAT good in the water!” The good news is, most swimming styles actually boil down to some simple, fundamental swim skills.

Once you master these fundamentals, with some practice and patience, you’ll be able to incorporate them into a variety of swim styles, including the front crawl.

The front crawl or forward crawl is a swimming stroke usually regarded as the fastest of the four front primary strokes. It is a style that is almost universally used during freestyle swimming competitions. Mastering this swim style is something that all swimmers, regardless of skill level, would benefit from.
