The biggest things that set us apart are our culture, our values and our standards. Our approach ensures that your swimming lessons are safe, comfortable and that you feel respected in the pool. We prioritize our students, giving them the dedicated attention they need to succeed.
For people of any age, it’s hard to relax when you’re distracted by how cold you are. We host our lessons in warm pools so that students can focus on learning instead of how chilly they are!
Public pools can be noisy, causing a major source of distraction for many students. At Aqua Life, our lessons take place in quiet, semi-private pools so that we can provide the most calming atmosphere possible.
Our curriculum focuses on swim fundamentals and swim strokes, which help our students to learn the mechanics of what they’re doing in the pool. We also teach using physical manipulation of the legs and arms, rather than expecting the students to simply watch the instructor then try to emulate what they were doing. This hands-on approach means it’s not just the brain that’s learning, but also the muscles!
At the Aqua Life, we don’t believe in passes or fails: our students move on to the next level when they’re naturally ready. Most swim schools issue a report card composed of checklists at the end of a set session. Instead, we report to parents and students verbally after each lesson. This way, the onus is on both the instructor and the student to ensure they progress at a comfortable pace.
With smaller class sizes, each student gets more time with their instructor and thus more individual feedback and support. We offer one-on-one classes, but generally teach in groups of no more than two or three.
