Instructor – student contact swim lessons

New health guidelines have emerged once again and we are allowed to work directly with our swimmers without the need for parents to accompany their kids in the pool, although we really loved having parents and grandparents assisting their little swimmers!
What does that mean for your classes?
For children’s classes: all private and sibling semi-private classes, Swim 201 and Swim 301 will be delivered without the need of a parent or guardian in the water.
Swim 101 classes (semi-private non-sibling beginner classes) will continue to need a parent or guardian in the water, as social distancing is necessary between kids that are not from the same household, and for safety reasons we need parents in the water with the little ones.
To ensure that all of our clients feel comfortable resuming their swimming lessons, we optionally offer no contact swim classes for our private classes. During these sessions our instructors will keep a safe 6 ft distance from the student, however a parent or guardian will have to be in the water to help with manipulations during the class. If the swimmer can swim front crawl with side breathing for 5 m unassisted and back crawl windmill arms unassisted for 5 m then they don’t need to be accompanied in the water during the no contact class.
We are flexible, so if you enjoyed jumping in the water with your little one and would like to continue actively participating in their swim classes, just let our instructors know, and we’ll be happy to have you in the class. There is no one size fits all, and we’re here to accommodate your needs and wants.
We’re happy to welcome you back to classes!
